On The Road To “I Do”…
When I first met Rob, I felt a very special and unique connection of energy that can only be explained by that simple “force of love”. I have had so many deja vu’s while in his presence that it felt like we’ve known each other forever. Being by his side felt so natural and instinctive. When the universe speaks in such an obvious tone, I listen.
The joy I feel when he holds my hand is electrifying. The energy through his strong arms when he hugs me feels like a safe haven. When he kisses me, it’s not just a kiss, I feel the synchronicity between our souls.
Some people call love between two people, “fate”. I like to think of it as the “power of the universe”. The energy of my love comes from the universe and can’t be forged by will. Loving another person in a romantic way is unique and only comes around when the universe says so and when it’s totally unexpected.
We will never completely understand how chance, coincidence, destiny, fate, or any of those things actually work, but it feels like “design”, as if the universe pushed our two souls together, like threading a needle found in a haystack. There is no other way to describe this phenomenon other than love.
It’s amazing to me how the universe continues to control the growth of my life at the same time relentlessly revealing the cosmic binding force of my infinite love. Love is an end unto itself. You see, for me, love is a seamless part of the fabric of my reality, so in that way it also permeates all of my existence. Everything else raises the question of “why” in my mind, and I require a reason for it. But when I say, “I love you,” then there is no room for the question “why” — it is the final answer in and of itself.
It’s like those levels of love were always present in the universe and bound by the same star dust and destined to come together, recognized by the same energy. There is no absence of that energy between Rob and myself. Recognizing the intense feeling of love for him came easy for me, as if he were an extension of my essence. I knew I loved him almost instantly. As if we’d been here before and known each other forever.
In a haystack, I found the man who makes me feel alive, unlike any other man. I love you Rob, then, now, and forever.
